ALES (Academic Staff and Graduate Entrance Examination) is the most important test that must be given by the people who want to study master and doctorate education in Turkey.

Totally consists of 160 questions which cover Mathematics and Turkish. The ALES exam consists of 4 sections: Verbal 1, Verbal 2, Numeric 1, and Numeric 2 with 40 questions per section. Students have to answer 120 questions that are relevant to their qualifications.

Bachelors, masters and final year students may apply for the exam. Examination is held twice a year in the spring (May) and autumn (November).

The minimum point you have to get from the exam is 55. ALES exam results are valid for 3 years. Examination is conducted by the test method.
